Annual membership fee information
Dear CTRC members,
Founded in 2015, the Canadian Traumatic brain injury Research Consortium (CTRC) is proud to serve its mission of promoting and facilitating collaborations among researchers in Canada working on different aspects of the continuum of care for patients with traumatic brain injury, including prevention, care in critical phase, rehabilitation process and long-term physical and psychological care. The CTRC contributes to improve and develop exchanges and collaborations among researchers in basic, translational and applied clinical research.
Among its activities, the CTRC provides assistance and support for grant applications to public funding agencies, including Canadian Institutes of Health Research, and has played an important role in securing grants for several researchers in our community, peer-reviewed publications, trainee and researcher awards, and project support. This cooperation has certainly served to position Canada as a world leader in the field of traumatic brain injury.
The CTRC is grateful to the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and the Ontario Neurotrauma Foundation for funding the establishment and activities of the CTRC over the years. However, this grant is coming to an end very soon.
As extensively discussed over the last year at our scientific meetings, it is time for a new funding model and the implementation of a membership fee is now necessary. As suggested and approved by the CTRC members, the membership fee for year 2023 is $250 for scientists. Please note that trainees, research associates and other members of the research team are not subject to any membership fee.
